Nowadays, music is mostly genre-less. Sure, there’s a barometer for what fits into what, but the explosion of the internet has led to sub-genres and different sounds fuzing together like never before. This has lead us to some wonderfully eclectic music that we may not have received otherwise. One of the artists leading the charge on this wave is Atlanta musician, Bedrooms, who checks in with his infectious new single, “Slow Dance.”
Featuring fellow buzzing Atlanta artist, Tom The Mailman, “Slow Dance,” is a warm, synth heavy record that explores the notion of showing your worth, as opposed to just saying it. Belting out beautiful melodies over the bare production, Bedrooms showcases a vocal range that I was previously unaware he had. Coupling that with a scathing, very accurate guest verse from Tom, and you have one of the more unique singles to come out of Atlanta’s famed underground this year.
