It’s not often that the Inland Empire gets it’s just due, musically. Despite this, I’ve always been a stark supporter, and have tried to shed light on IE staples such as Noa James, Trizz, Audio Push and more. But one artist who’s making it impossible to ignore him has been Moreno Valley native, BamBinoMafioso. After spending much of 2019 establishing himself as a constant presence, he caps the year off with the video for his engaging new single, “Still.”
Directed by Spizzberg, the video features Bam and his Murda Business Mafia collective, as they bag up exotic smoke, buy out the ice cream man and just overall have a good time in the neighborhood. Soundtracked to menacing production from KDISTHEWAVE, Bam easily delivers one of his best vocal performances on this track, also. Sporting a unique cadence that some may mistake for being offbeat–they’d be dead wrong– Bam proves himself has a lyricist on this one, too, taking his signature braggadocios rhymes, and taking them just a step further on this one.
In short, this is definitely the time for you to stop sleeping on Bam, as he’s currently making some of his best music. With a prospective EP looming the wings, it’s better to jump on the bandwagon now, before it’s too late. Watch the video below.
