Portland artist, Mat Randol teams up with film maker, Riley Brown to bring forth, North of Nowhere – a short film broadcasting the real life triumph’s and hardships of making it out of Portland, through life, and into the music business. With features from Mat’s closest friends and family,North of Nowhere is a visual and lyrical representation of what it is to attempt to shift the perception of a city not notoriously known for hip hop.
Tracks such as Calahoun Ave., Reminder, and Vantage Point off Mat’s EP, Alignment, can also be heard in the film.
