Orange County, California. Growing up, I always imagined this place being a big ‘ol field of grass and trees, just decked out in fresh oranges–seeing the movie, Orange County shattered my dreams. But I say that to say this: Orange County might be close in proximity, but it is light years away from the hustle and bustle of LOS ANGELES, and that’s a good thing–it’s chill. Taking that chill reputation and doubling down, native singer, Damian delivers his debut music video for, “Closer.”
Almost immediately, the most charming quality about the visual has to be the visual filters and effects they use. Utilizing vibrant light filters and special effects that include flames, the video does a great job at emphasizing Damian’s lyrics as he croons about a love he hopes to one day conquer. Showcasing a keen knack for melody and an infectious vocal cadence, Damian proves that he’s going to be around for a while, and we can’t wait to hear his next record.
