The West Coast is in the midst of a music moment and countless artists such as Los Angeles-based artist DaColdSteppa are breaking-through into the limelight.
Making a name for himself within the city off the strength of his stone-cold lyricism and unmatched energy, DaColdSteppa has managed to create a buzz for himself even before his dropping his debut project with multiple popular releases such as his vibey “College Dropout” banger.
Channeling the intensity of his sub-zero flows, DaColdSteppa unleashes his debut six-track Cold Soul EP featuring guest verses from up-and-coming L.A. rappers Speedyyy and Donny Loc.
Building out his gritty, hard-pressed lyrical outpost, which he constructed with his bold lead single “I Been That,” Cold Soul firmly cements DaColdSteppa’s foundation while dually elevating his status amongst his rap peers with slaps such as “We Ain’t The Same” and “Winning” soundtracking his ascent.
DaColdSteppa also notably links with trending producer Rappa, who is known for working with numerous top-tier L.A. artists including 03 Greedo, throughout the majority of the EP, sharpening his lyrical ginsu on each of the crisp sub-knocking beats.
The highlighted track from their collective lock-in, “Nightmares” has quickly become one of DaColdSteppa’s top-streamed songs on Spotify and represents both the organic chemistry he and Rappa cultivated, as well as the undeniable appeal of the EP as a whole.
The release of the new EP follows DaColdSteppa’s prolific 2021 singles-run, which has spawned several fan-favorite bangers for DaColdest Records CEO, including his collaborative “Bands On The Floor” visual with Speedyyy.
