TMG FRE$H Releases Brand New Visual With Jeremih Called “Top Down”

Super talented Bay area artist TMG FRE$H releases video for “TOP DOWN” featuring multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jeremih, off Fre$h’s debut album MARGIELA LANGUAGE, out now via TMG Records. Directed by iconic music video director Damien Sandoval (Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Quavo) Top Down gives us big summertime vibes. This track is definitely a feel-good record.

“Me and Jeremih came through together and made a smash that makes you wanna grab a pretty girl and just cruise,” says TMG Fre$h.

“Working with Jeremih was great,” said Fre$h. “We had such a good time in the studio making the record and definitely turned up on the set of the music video too. This record is a smash so make sure you check it out!”

An innovative wordsmith, Fre$h magnetically gravitated to music as a kid and began cultivating his longstanding passion for storytelling after he was sidelined by a basketball injury in college. Inspired by Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan’s films, the Oakland, CA native taught himself how to write scripts, which led him to explore his musical voice. Citing JAY-Z as his biggest inspiration, he simultaneously dove into pop-punk a la Green Day and blink-182. As much as he listened to hip-hop staples such as Drake and Post Malone, he drew equal inspiration from the aforementioned filmmakers.

Fre$h formally introduced himself to the music industry with 2020’s single “Champagne Cry” featuring multi-platinum powerhouse Tee Grizzley. WorldStarHipHopdebuted the video as it generated nearly five million views.
On the film side of his career, Fre$h’s latest project is an award-winning short film, Sins of the Father, which he wrote, directed, and produced. The short continues to take the festival circuit by storm with official selections garnered from Toronto Independent Festival of CIFT and Paris Independent Film Festival, among others. Fre$h also tirelessly participates in initiatives led by his mother’s charitable organization, The Akonadi Foundation, whose mission is to support the development of powerful social change movements to eliminate structural racism.

“I’m a thoughtful introvert, so my music is where I really express myself,” says Fre$h. “I’m quiet, but I put my emotions into my music. When you listen, I want you to feel like you can relate. I want to speak to your pain, your joy, and your love. Society leads us to believe we have all of these differences, but we all still have to wake up each day and deal with what life throws at us. We all have that in common with one another”.

“It was a pleasure working with TMG Fre$h who is passionate about his music like myself,” said Jeremih. “The song is dope and the video was fun to be in too. With everything going on in the world, it feels good to be a part of a fun project.”
