Kavin Donnell, an up and coming West Coast artist, has released the visual for his latest track”Burner Account.” “— a charming song about an ex-girlfriend who “can’t let go” of checking his account. It’s a realistic, funny, and thrilling notion that highlights an aspect of Donnell’s storytelling that fans can identify to.
“Because the song is about someone prowling on your page behind a false account, the hook takes some attention.” In a recent interview with Remixd Magazine, Donnell stated. “I think it’s a relevant song because we all know at least one person who is no longer in contact with us but still keeps an eye on what we do, whether it’s an ex or just an old friend.
His most recent single, “Burner Account,” is an excellent illustration of his distinct style, which he defines as a combination of 90s R&B and spoken word.
Kavin Donnell knew he wanted to be a musician since he was six years old.
“I naturally developed a taste for many musical genres and routinely performed at school talent shows,” he added.
He wouldn’t truly lock in and commit to doing music until he graduated from high school and went out into the world. Fast forward to now, and he’s still doing it, claiming that he goes to the studio every day and is working on a full-length record called #FreakShitOnly. That project is set to be released in mid-June!
Regardless of the song or project the talented musician releases, he hopes that fans will understand that it is fine to be yourself.
“I believe that the environment in which we live pushes many of us to pretend to be someone we are not. It’s fine to be yourself; you’d be amazed how many people can identify with you,” he said.
