Atlanta-based rapper, Kenny Mason has just shared the official video for “Play Ball” off his recently released project, Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut – included among the”Best Albums of 2021 So Far” lists by Billboard and Rolling Stone. The video for “Play Ball” is a grainy collection of shots featuring Kenny and his crew cruising the suburban streets of Atlanta on bikes, stirring up sentimental feelings of summertime sanguinity, juxtaposed with Kenny’s verses on the realities of coming up on his side of Atlanta. The new video follows last month’s 12-minute, one-shot-take live performance visual, Strays 02 which features back-to-back verses from his two most recent projects. Kenny’s extraordinary rapping abilities will be on full display this summer when he hits the road on tour with festival dates including Rolling Loud Miami, Lollapalooza, HIVE Music Festival, Music Midtown, Firefly Festival, and more.
Released on 4/16 with features from Freddie Gibbs, Denzel Curry, Angel White, and Ambar Lucid, Kenny Mason‘s latest full-length project, Angelic Hoodrat: Supercut expands upon the themes he set forth on his 2020 debut, showcasing his sweeping vocal range and well-earned reputation for stretching beyond the confines of rap. Solidifying his presence as a unique and powerful force within Atlanta’s diverse music scene, Kenny’s new project continues the themes of duality inherent within Angelic Hoodrat: light within darkness, beauty within ugliness, and hope within despair.
