Alabama rap newcomer Woodz is getting his wins-up in preparation for his summertime moves and has recruited his frequent collaborator MGM Lett for his beaconing “Standards” single.
Loaded with fresh vibes out the gate via wavy guitar riffs and snappy kick drums, “Standards” reinforces the bop-heavy nuances of both Woodz and MGM Lett’s drawled out flows. More than anything, “Standards” is a soundtrack for taking risks and making bucks as Woodz raps on the opening bars, “You one of two things/Either you trapping or you a scammer.”
“Standards” is quickly making rounds throughout the Alabama native’s stomping grounds and beyond, and has already racked up well over 35,000 streams since, and counting.
In addition to “Standards” Woodz has maintained his productivity throughout 2021, kicking the year off with his “Play It Back” record followed by his “Dub In The Saks” collaboration with Ay.Zxck.
