Los Angeles artist K. Johns Tha General is making his return with more music — but this time he’s bringing a fresh sound to the game with his new video “Mood Swings.”
The highly-anticipated visual puts K. Johns’ talents on full display as fans hear a sound they’ve never heard from him before. “Mood Swings” has a smooth R&B beat that’s mixed with K. Johns’ distinguished rap vocals. He proves that he’s someone who’s capable of switching things up from time-to-time and he has a lot more areas of music that he wants to continue to explore.
When asked ab out if he saw himself doing more music in the R&B lane, K. Johns responded, “Most definitely! I’m a creator/artist not just a rapper. I see myself trying new things.”
He took a risk and it ultimately paid off. While sampling Pop Smoke’s “Yea Yea (Remix),” K. Johns decided to add his own spin to the track and detail a more intimate side of him that has to do with cuffing, wanting a queen to boss up, and making her his.
The visual, which was shot and directed by J. How (@JHowardPhotos), captures the rapper in a few different scenes and shows him spending time with a love interest. The song is truly for the ladies and is a vibe that anyone can listen to.
