One of the things that the United States has historically been unable to do is confront our own demons, and change. Since the beginning of this nation, billions of people have been oppressed and enslaved, mostly due to the color of their skin. Despite this, the aforementioned groups have risen above the ashes, and become the backbone of this country. Still, things need to get better, and that notion is genuinely captured by Las Vegas artist, I.Am.Tru.Starr on his engaging new single, “Somethings Gotta Change.”

Produced by Skylo, “Somethings Gotta Change,” is a poignant, painfully accurate record spoken from the perspective of a Black Man in America who is tired. Buoyed by incredible songwriting and soulful production, the record finds it’s footing in it’s authenticity. Utilizing his strong vocal range to set the tone, he then showcases his signature knack of bending melodies and strong lyricism to make the message more urgent. Every note, every word, every melody and every syllable ooze pain, and paint a perfect picture of how many African Americans feel in 2020.

Take a listen to the single below, and get familiar with I.Am.Tru.Starr.
