Rising Houston star D Flowers continues to make fans happy with the release of his newest single “Gang Shit.” Produced by DJ XO, the track offers both fans, and haters, a glimpse into the notoriety and respect D Flowers has attained in the streets. The menacing track switches tones from his last released single “Cold Showers,”which details overcoming poverty as a child.
On “Gang Shit” D Flowers welcomes the opposition to his territory. He reminds people of his persona prior to being a professional recording artist. The video, shot by SpxrkStudios, shows D Flowers and company overtaking a gas station somewhere in the lone star state of Texas. D Flowers is seen rapping atop a Bentley, with his clique surrounding him on bikes and ATV’s. Scenes cut between D Flowers demonstrating his wealth, and street power.
“Tell me what’s good on that issue, you don’t want your family to miss you.”
“Gang Shit” displays a message commonly seen amongst the hip-hop community. As a successful Hip-Hop artist, D Flowers found a path that uprooted him out of the streets. He now uses this platform to tell his story, and inspire others in similar situations. The Houston native is currently signed to the independent record label, Stomp Down, which is based in and operates in Texas. Having previously been featured on Maxo Kream‘s “Go” as well as Sauce Walka‘s “Drivers license”, D Flowers aims to continue to expand the legacy of Houston rap music heralded by the legends before them like DJ Screw, Bun B, and Slim Thug.
