YS is back with another loosie, this one is titled “Deep Thoughts” produced by 10fiftyy ( past work includes Lil GotIt, Comethazine, Lil Keed, RonSoCold). After enduring another turbulent Compton Summer, he enters fall reflecting on the loved ones he’s lost along the way whom he can no longer call on. While YS normally raps like he’s trying rid himself of the scorching hot fire inside the pit of his stomach, he takes a different approach on this track, harmonizing his lyrics with a subtle sadness protruding through his vocals. The Compton native raps “I ain’t never hung up my jersey I’m still in the field, I’m just tryna chase up a bag and run up a hundred mill”.
In the visual, YS zooms across town in a candy apple red Audi R8 alone in deep thought as he joins his crew in celebration of sheer survival.
