After having hypnotized the city with one of the catchiest hooks in recent memory, Wallie The Sensei shares with fans the long-awaited visuals for his standout hit, “Scandalous”. Filmed in his hometown of Compton, CA., Wallie the Sensei pops out deep with his people. The visuals switch between shots at the park with the gang going up as they thumb through racks and more threatening, suspenseful scenes of people cleaning their weapons while loading up their clips at a round table in preparation for an attack.
There’s a certain level of relatability in this song that strongly attracts the fans. Whether it be a crazy ex partner, or a former acquaintance we no longer see eye to eye with, everybody has one or two haters that come to mind when this song plays. The hook, in combination with the melody evokes a feeling of pain within the listener. While the song itself recognizes the dangers of being raised in the streets and scandals that come with it, the video showcases a reaction to such scandal, and just as Wallie The Sensei summarizes “These streets that I grew up in, They’re so scandalous.”
