Coming off the success of his 2019 debut album, Tako’s Son, the Inglewood native has been on fire all 2020. To keep his momentum going, Rucci has teamed up with Stockton, CA’s Haiti Babii to give us “Check Me Out”.
“Check Me Out” is the first single off of Rucci’s upcoming album set to release next month. The project’s name is yet to be announced, but there have been hints that the title is Midget. The track is produced by Drumma & 420Tiesto, who both have worked with the rapper before, most recently on his I’m Still Me EP. In the first verse Rucci name drops the Rhino sex pills, and flexes his signing to Empire Records. Haiti Babii’s presence on the track is felt, as he handles his featured verse.
The visuals for this track were directed by Keoni Mars, who has worked with RJMrLA, PNB Rock, and Jackboy, among others. The video takes place in a junkyard of salvaged cars, with other members of Mackk & Company present in the background.
With the Mackk&Co EP set to drop this Friday, and Rucci’s album set to release next month, we have enough music to last us for a while. “Check Me Out” is out now on all streaming platforms, and the music video is out now on YouTube.
