Blxst is the furthest thing from overrated. After a breakout 2019, the producer/rapper has been on fire all of 2020, and he’s not even close to being done. Just last month, Blxst teamed up with 1TakeJay to release one of top songs of the summer in “Slip & Slide”. On Friday, Blxst released a single titled, “Overrated”. The track serves as the lead single off his upcoming EP titled, ‘No Love Lost’ that is set to release on September 4th. Below, you can watch the official trailer for the album.
Like most of Blxst’s music, “Overrated” is produced & mixed by himself. As another example that he is just as talented at both aspects of the music. West coast hip-hop love songs go as far back as the mid 80s, but even through most artists try their hand at this, Blxst still finds a way to separate himself from the rest and stay unique in his own way.
There seems like there is going to be a theme throughout this upcoming project. The 2019 track, “Hurt” serves as the outro to the project, which makes sense. There’s definitely a lot of anticipation built up for these six never heard before songs. For now we are left with this lead single. “Overrated” is out now on all streaming platforms.
