As Shoreline Mafia members continue to release singles to build anticipation for their debut album “Mafia Bidness”, the flood continues today. “How We Do It” features Pittsburgh legend, Wiz Khalifa. This is the fifth single released leading up to the album release. Just last week, the group released their fourth single, “Perc Popper”.
A Wiz Khalifa feature is something most Shoreline fans would not expect. However, it’s likely the members grew up big fans of Wiz as he was at his peak of popularity when the members of the group were coming of age.
“How We Do It” is produced by LowTheGreat and the track samples Montell Jordan’s smash hit “This Is How We Do It”, which sampled Slick Rick’s “Children’s Story”. Fenix puts a more sinister and drug-infused spin on the 1995 hit song. While the track is a classic west coast party anthem, and Wiz is an east coast native, he laced up his blue chucks and kept the party rolling with one of his best rap verses in some time.
Assuming this is the final single released prior to the album release, Shoreline has gone on a solid run of singles over the past couple of months. Although it has taken nearly two years to put out their debut studio album, it appears to be well worth the wait. “How We Do It” is out now on all streaming platforms.
