After last releasing the deluxe version for his highly praised “Organic” album, Casey returns with the music video for “Banners,” the final track of his recent re-release. In the video, we see Casey Veggies re-visiting some of his hometown sites as he reflects on his journey to fame. Though only 26, Casey Veggies is an LA rap veteran with over 10 years making music. The Inglewood native is seen outside his alma mater of Inglewood High, where he highlights life accomplishments and honors his success, which is difficult to attain when you grow up surrounded unwarming conditions like poverty, violence, or crime. With lines like “Young N***a made it out the streets and went to sign with Jay-Z” and “I make a play and show the youngins it’s another way,” Casey Veggies also inspires youth from adverse communities. Sometimes, a hometown hero is enough to motivate an individual to keep going, and Casey Veggies is surely one of them. The “Banners” music humbly highlights personal accolades, while showing the youth in his hometown and similar communities, anything is possible through perseverance.
