Cypress Moreno, the popular Los Angeles DJ/Producer has begun his transition into full a full blown artist with the debut of his two new songs “Beber” featuring Feefa, produced by Cypress and Epps, as well as “On a B!tch” featuring AzChike and 1TakeJay, co-produced by Dupri. While Cypress has received plenty of high profile placements with top tier artists such as Shoreline Mafia “Swear To God”, E-40’s “Rain On My Parade” featuring G-Eazy & Ty Dolla $ign, to name a few; he is finally in the drivers seat releasing his own records featuring his production and A&R-ing.
The two records released simultaneously is a throwback to the days of A&B side singles. Side A, being “Beber” featuring fellow LA-tino Feefa is a commercial single that can be thrown in rotation instantly at Latin and hip-hop clubs as well as radio stations. Side B, “On A B!tch” is undeniably infectious, readymade to be played at ignorant levels in the car, house parties and the most poppin’ club in your city that has lines of people outside waiting to get in like Costco in an epidemic.
When asked about the vibe in the studio when creating the instrumental to “On a B!tch” Cypress stated, “
When I made the beat with Dupri we automatically knew someone like 1take or Blueface would sound good on it. On a Bitch was recorded at the Z room around the time The Winning Team mixtape was being recorded. I remember being in the studio & there being lots of commotion. I played the beat and everyone started dancing, vibing and free styling. Jay and Chike both almost instantaneously told me to load it up & gassed it effortlessly.”
