Debuts are my favorite, I can’t even lie. When I listen to somebody’s debut, usually, I’m not looking for them blow me away immediately. Instead, I search for the raw yet creatively intriguing things that they showcase throughout their project, as one idea can blossom into a career. Utilizing his debut to get some thoughts off, Las Vegas crooner, Babypunk checks into our pages for the first time with his engaging new project, OKCupid.
Settling in at 6-tracks, OKCupid is incredibly short, but does just enough to keep the listener curious enough to hit replay on it. With only one feature, Punk uses the almost-20-minute long project to showcase a few of his talents. Whether it’s his pen on records like, “Love’s Dead,” his sheer infectiousness on, “Luh Dis Bih,” or everything being tied together on, “IDK,” it’s easy to see the areas where Punk will inevitably thrive in if he keeps progressing.
Take a listen to the project below and get hip to Las Vegas’ newest artist.
