With the announcement of being signed to EMPIRE, Rucci’s fans were more than happy for the big moves that their favorite dawg was making. As he was congratulated on the timeline & in person, plenty was skeptical about how his music releases would work from now on.
He vouched that he would be releasing as much as he can & has so far kept his word. With the release of his “Bong in the Booth” EP that is solely produced by Bruce 24k, the 4 tracks that it held were enough to hold fans over. As he continued to move throughout the city with shows, a few features, & a single titled “La Bamba”, things seemed to move quite the same.
Today Rucci has announced his debut studio album “Tako’s Son” will release on August 9th, along with tracklist which includes features from Lil’ Duece, AzChike, RJ, 1TakeJay, & more. With that he’s also given fans single “Keep Going” which is said to be the first song he recorded after losing his best friend, the late Sean Mackk.
Produced by Romo, the track begins with a somber tone & highlights a different perspective than what we’ve been hearing from Rucci as of late. Although we’ve heard him deliver touching tracks before, it’s sure to tug on the heartstrings of those who have lost someone, especially the ones who constantly miss Mackk. As it opens with Rucci speaking to long-time friend Bossmann who has been through similar obstacles, some alongside Rucci one hears the eagerness for faith. As he tries to hold on through the track, the pain is heard heavily felt through his voice as he searches for the courage to keep going, & going, & going… As he makes his way through life he’s realizing his worth, naming his price & through it all doing what’s best for those who count on him.
The track is definelty worth a listen, & continues to show the different sounds & topics that Rucci has always had a hold on throughout his career. This is truly just the beginning, stream & share the track below.
