Florida has been on a historic run in Hip-Hop for the past 10-years. Buoyed originally by cats like Rick Ross and others, the scene then was flooded with teenaged talent from all over the state, birthing a legendary underground scene that’s given us guys like XXXTentacion, Ski Mask The Slump God, Robb Banks, Denzel Curry and more. Looking to keep that tradition alive, Jacksonville native, I Hate Andy has been carving a lane for himself, and he returns with his new single, “But I Won’t”.
Produced by Dev The Goon, one of the more endearing qualities about the record is it’s pure honesty and dedication to showcasing Andy’s feelings. Set to the theme of a man who’s scorned about a love lost, with it obviously plaguing his mind, he uses the engaging production to let her know that he hasn’t forgotten about her, and in fact, he still loves her–he just can’t say it.
Take a listen to the song below, and get familiar with I Hate Andy.
