AzSwaye is in the middle of an incredible run right now consisting of an amazing string of singles for his upcoming album, and “Old Bird” is no exception. Produced by Meez and Louie Ji, Swaye deviates from the party bangers that he’s become notorious throughout the land for with something more slow and somber. The guitar that drives the beat is mesmerizing and the punches of bass that come in (especially during the hook) complete the track. Swaye is no stranger to slower more conscious rapping, and on “Old Bird” he shows us just how comfortable he is switching sounds with ease as he uses his verse to take a step back to reevaluate his love life. The star taps in with Kyle Banks for the melodies and Disctrict Boyz member Correy C, who spits nothing but gospel throughout his verse like “Can’t fuck with lame bitches they toxic, Supposed to be a n**** peace but you the problem”. Along with “Pop Shit” and “Still Flock”, “Old Bird” gives us a small taste of the extravaganza that AzSwaye is concocting.
