An Interview With Rising Phoenix Artist Lil Prada

51 West is a small venue in Tempe, Arizona. One of the best spots for up and coming artists to throw shows at. It is easy to pack out and cost effective for any artist to showcase their talents. This was the first of many shows for Lil Prada in April who is always accompanied by Kill Stacy. The two know how to control a crowd, this is light work to them at this point. Putting on an intense performance and interacting with their audience to make for a genuine experience.

Lil Prada makes music that is a genre of its own. Beats that are unique and an immense amount of energy is put into each track. This is mosh pit music. It’s meant to get your blood rushing, heartbeat throbbing, and mind going bonkers. Making it obvious why fans lose their minds at each and every show.

So far this year he’s been on a roll. Dropping six singles and teaming up with his right hand man Kill Stacy for a seven track EP. Three shows back to back to back this week alone. He’s clearly been putting the work in. Focusing directly on the music and taking it far beyond The Valley. We talked about his music, Crow Life, and what he’s got in store below:

What was your life like growing up?

It was rough I moved way too much and my parents split dumb early. I was born in Phoenix, I grew up on 35th most my life then started bouncing round places.

How would you describe the city to those who have never been out here?

People out here think it’s not all that but Phoenix is coming up big time right now. Locals know what’s good though.

Definitely, when did you start to make music?

Late 2017.

What was the first thing you ever recorded?

The first thing I ever recorded was on my bro Eddie song, it’s called “Ring”! Throwback as fuck!

How would you describe your style?

I think my style is different from the rest of Phoenix, on god. It’s more real than a lot of shit I see come from my city.

What are some of your personal favorite bars you’ve written so far?

My favorite bar I wrote is “I been glowing since I was three damn them bitches didn’t listen” cause it’s facts. I been in my glo since toddler days.

Can you explain Crow Life?

Crow life my brothers that’s our music collective! we spread out pretty far them my family though, do anything for them.

Who all is in the collective and how did y’all link up?

Zotiyac, Kill Stacy, Heist, Heal,  Cyn, Nukka, Bando and a couple others I’m missing. They had been linked up I got introduced to them in LA with Stacy at a show and it was a wrap from there.

What shows do you have coming up?

I have five in April and one in May so far. We will be adding more but the main one y’all should be at is 4/19 and 4/20 at Valley Club.

You’re about to be all over, what music are you working on right now?

I have a tape put together actually but I’m trying to get more fans right now. I want to build a cult following. I love my supporters for real and I’m trying to drop at least a song every two weeks for them, that’s my goal so far.

What are your overall goals for the rest of the year?

To make my fans go ape shit at shows and to drop three times the amount of songs I dropped last year. I only dropped like four songs last year.

You’re definitely in go mode this year, it’s shown! Is there anything else you’d like to tell the readers?

I want to let the readers know Phoenix up next and can’t nobody stop us on the gang!
