Adrian Gamboa releases “Fake Friends”
Los Angeles area producer and recording artist Adrian Gamboa is back with another record titled “Fake Friends”.  Showcasing his production skills with a Kanye West-like production style for the record, this hard hitting soulful record is definitely something to add to your summer playlist. Pulling from a legendary sample by the O’Jays – Back Stabbers, Adrian creates a sound that is not a common occurrence in today’s hip hop scene.
“The concept of the song is basically about being happy and doing what you want to get that happiness despite knowing that people talk badly on your name when you’re not around. Once you listen to the record you will understand what I mean. The verses came out naturally when I was writing and to be honest I just wanted to talk about multiple ideas and feelings that almost don’t relate to the topic but at the same time that’s what I thought was dope about it. I didn’t want to focus on the topic of the song the same way you shouldn’t focus on anyone who talks on your name when you are not in the room. I wanted it to be a metaphor within the song of indifference. Pair that with the feel good sound of the record and what you get is this happy and triumphant sound as the outcome.”
The 24 year-old artist has been buzzing in the Inland Empire area of Southern California and even has songs with Tayyib Ali and King Los (unreleased). He is working on a few single releases and continues to write, produce, and do the artwork for all of his music. He has performed throughout all of Southern California with acts like Lupe Fiasco, Kid Ink, 2 Chainz, and more
