André 3000 took to his newly created Instagram (@therealandre3000benjamin) late last night to announce 2 new songs for Mother’s Day. His mom unfortunately passed away a day before André’s birthday back in 2013, and was followed by his father a year after. The first song, “Me&My (To Bury Your Parents)” is a very beautifully sad remembrance of his parents, reminiscing on the things they did together and simply stating that he was much happier when his parents were around. André also plays bass clarinet on the song. The second song, “Look Ma No Hands” is simply an instrumental song with James Blake on piano and André himself on bass clarinet again in a very beautiful jazz piece remembering his mother. Make sure to call your mothers and tell them how much you love them after hearing these. There’s no way you won’t want to.
