Chance the Rapper went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night to premiere his newest track which is still unnamed. He got the help of Daniel Caesar to help sing and lay down a great backing guitar instrumental for Chance to rap over. Chance told Stephen in the interview before the performance that he had originally planned to perform “Grown Ass Kid”, a song off of Coloring Book that got cut due to some sample clearance issues. However, he decided to scrap it last second and revealed that he wrote his newest song just 2 days ago. Chance gets very introspective in this song, probably one of his most personal to date. He touches on fatherhood and the rising social and political issues going on in the United States. It really is a beautiful song, and I hope you get to check it out below. Also, check out his interview with Stephen Colbert under the video of the new track.
