Ab-Soul has dropped visuals for his song “Evil Genius” off of his most recent album, Do What Thou Wilt. The song, which Soulo said took the longest to complete, looks deeper into why Soul makes the type of music he makes. That if we look at his older tracks, he’s just a Romeo mourning his Juliet. I would think that a reason it took so long to complete this song also had to do with the fact that he put in a sample from Alori Joh, Ab-Soul’s longtime girlfriend who committed suicide, and the chilling beat adds to all that, as does the music video. Soulo is mostly in a dark room holding a sort of vigil and at the end even visits her grave. Check out the music video below.
