Ridiculously Fire Mixtape- Ridge Season 2: Rise of The Villains

‘Ridge Season 2’, a ridiculously fire mixtape by Connecticut collective The Ridge, which is comprised of  Craigy F, and Wave Matthews (formerly AG). The duo released ‘Ridge Season 1′ roughly a year ago and are back with an incredibly improved product featuring 17 tracks of heat. Production credits include Complex, Penacho Beats, MNBeats, Sez Beats, Bruce Wayne, Lavish and L Beats.

Craigy F, hailing from New London, Connecticut, caught our ear back in 2014 with his banger “Puffy” which was later featured on MTV2’s “Uncommon Sense With Charlamagne Tha God”. Since then, he’s dropped nothing but fire music and stayed true to his lane of singing, rapping, and creating melodies in his songs that live in your head for weeks at a time like fat booties in yoga pants you see at the supermarket.

Wave Matthews, also hails from Connecticut, and is a rising artist in his own right, releasing a quality EP last year titled ‘Sarah Knows‘. The singer/rapper’s vocal style is best described as on the same wavelength as Bryson Tiller, Tory Lanez, and PARTYNEXTDOOR, with a bit more pain in his voice. His song “LA” on RS2 is absolutely amazing and has gotten an embarrassingly high amount of plays from me for 2 weeks now.

‘Ridge Season 2’ is the hottest R&B mixtape in the streets right now if you ask me. Craigy F and Wave Matthews are names you need to check for going forward. These two did not brick one record on this project and the second half of RS2 is arguably twice as good as the first half.

Stand out tracks include: Turner Field, Wylin, LA, Jiggy, Don’t Deserve You, Ready For This, Don’t Fall in Love, and Rise of The Villains.
