Glasses Malone, Kendrick Lamar & Killer Mike’s “Thuggin'” Lyric Video

Run the Jewels’ Killer Mike joins forces with Glasses Malone and K. Dot on the newest version of “Thuggin“, a conscious joint over what seems like a modern day recreation of the “Foe Tha Love of $” by Bone Thugs beat.
While the title might throw you off a bit, “Thuggin” is not your average song glorifying the “thug life” that is often showcased in hip-hop. Instead, we get a different approach of it, on how American media uses to the term to degrade the Black community, more particularly men, even when they are victims. Killer Mike raps “The condition we put kids in, often poverty stricken/even education, becomes a pipeline to prison/simply, a tool for mass incarceration“, stating that the kids from the kids from the ‘hood are just programmed to become part of the system. While this one is a banger, it might make you think a bit as well.
