Peacemaker/Rhyme-sayer Kendrick Lamar is no newcomer to the world of gangs and the violence, take his i cover, for example. In his most recent collab with Reebok, he brings his signature touch to the classic Reebok Ventilator. Coming with blue and red accents and the word “neutral” inscribed on the tongue tag on the classic shoe, it’s sending a message to our youth entrenched in the gang culture.
Do you guys feel this will help create unity in the gang community or cause an uproar of even more unnecessary violence?
I’m all for the unity and the message Kendrick conveys and the simplicity behind it. However, for $143 a pop, only the rich kids from gang-free suburban who have no idea of the concept of the idea may be able to wear them, potentially making this message irrelevant. They’ll be available July 18th on Reebok’s website. And are available right NOW on the European website SneakerBaas.com -Fatima B.
