DJ Quik premieres “Unsung” Documentary

Before YG was reppin’ Compton and Rosecrans Avenue, there was DJ Quik. The special documents Quik’s early life before he was pitchin’ in on a party, including his involvement with gangs, influences, losing his best friend, legendary Mausberg, and of course, music. It is quite apparent that he created a signature twist on the G-Funk era, with his “Quik’s Grooves“, basslines and drums cannot be matched. We also see a different side of the hip-hop hair god, with us being introduction to his son, David Blake, jr. and the murder case involving his daughter.
