Before there was trap music, there was, Earl “E-40” Stevens, someone who I like to dub as the “godfather of hyphy music”. The bay area aficionado still has his same style, with fast rhymes and loud beats. The “Choices” visual, which features 40 in an all-white mansion, is a star-studded one, featuring appearances by Curren$y, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Big K.R.I.T, to name a few. Sometimes, simplicity is key, and this video proves by doing so. Did I enjoy the music video…YUP.
