Kanye West, an up-and-coming artist from Chicago, follows up his New Year’s sentimental single titled “Only One” with a visual. Kanye is known for having a deep respect and love for his mother, as seen in the song “Hey Mama”, which I play for my mom every Mother’s Day. Teaming up with Paul McCartney, which many people thought was a weird connection, Kanye delivers another sentimental song, but now from the perspective of his mother, talking to him from heaven being happy at how Yeezy’s recent life events (his marriage and the birth of his daughter) have made her smile. The video is directed by another one of my favorite directors, Spike Jonze (Her, Where The Wild Things Are). It is styled as a type of home video in which we see Kanye and his daughter, North, walking and talking together. Watch the visual for this track below, and get ready for Yeezy season . .
