Le$, recently dropped his second mixtape since joining Spitta and Jetlife Recordings “Steak x Shrimp Vol 1” which features Curren$y, Slim Thug, Paul Wall who have all been featured on his past projects.
The surprise collaboration on this project however, was with the 562’s own A$ton Matthews. The Cutthroat Boy joins Le$ on “The Man” which is my favorite record on the tape. Immediately after listening to the track, I saw 3 good reasons why Le$ chose A$ton to appear on this.
One: It’s a grim, film noir style instrumental I thought on the soundtrack to the 1950 movie Sunset Boulevard.
Two: These are the type of ominous tracks Matthews has made a name for himself on.
Three: Their mutual love of classic cars, smoking the devil’s lettuce, rapping their ass off and having dollar signs in their name.
Listen to it for yourself! Download Le$ new Mixtape and look out for A$ton’s Chapovelli coming soon!
